Our FIRST Makar Sankranti As A Married Couple🥰 / Mridul and Aditya

Hello Guys! Welcome back to a very special vlog—our first Makar Sankranti after marriage. We celebrated it in an authentic and traditional way. Makar Sankranti is a festival during which people exchange til guds or tilache ladoo and greet each other by saying til-gul ya, god god bola, which means accept these sweets and speak sweet words. It is a sign of goodwill and friendship. We also got Halwyache daagine or ornaments made out of halwa (a sweet pudding of sugar-coated sesame) for both of us. It’s offered to the newlywed bride at the traditional Sunache Tilavan which is the first welcome to the daughter-in-law. Women wear a particular black saree called the Chandrakala, which is embossed with stars and small crescent moons. It is one of those occasions when wearing black is actually regarded as auspicious. Married women celebrate the haldi kumkum by anointing each other with scented waters, exchanging turmeric and vermillion for a fresh start in all relationships.
