Recording A Band From A Drummer's Perspective

Looking for some new ways to attract more work as a drummer? ►► Download my FREE PDF GUIDE "7 Ways to Attract More Work as a Drummer" at https://www.drummersperspective.com/7... /// /// /// If you ever have the chance to engineer a recording for a musician or band, take it! You can learn so much not only about recording by doing this, but also about playing the drums both in the studio and live. Sitting on the "other side of the glass" allows you to be in a studio environment, working on music, but have a more broad listening approach to the overall musical experience. This can not only really help to train your ears to be more focussed on choosing the right cymbal and drum sounds for a particular song, but also to come up with more creative and "musical" drum parts when you are in the studio. In this video, I share a look into a project I was fortunate enough to be a part of where I was asked to engineer and record a band for their upcoming EP. I take you through my process of setting everything up, as well as sharing my thoughts into the benefits of doing something like this not only for drummers, but all musicians.
