The Coolest Street in the World! Rue Wellington, Montreal

Verdun is a vibrant and eclectic neighbourhood in southwestern Montreal. Rue Wellington, the main street through Verdun, was recently named by TimeOut as the coolest street in the world! Promenade Wellington is a 1.3 km pedestrian-only walkway that runs throughout the summer. The street is painted with colourful murals and lined with beautiful flowers, kiosks, and patios. There are over 200 shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants so there's something to suit everybody. There are also several events planned so for more information visit their website. For lunch we went to Honi Honi Bar and Poke, a restaurant featuring Hawaiian and Asian dishes. I had the DIY Poke Bowl with rice, tofu, kale, cucumber, red cabbage, avocado, tobiko, edamame, marinated daikon, sesame seeds with wasabi mayo dressing. The rice was cooked well, the ingredients were all fresh and the dressing had quite the kick! www.promenadewellington.com www.honihoni.ca www.timeout.com/things-to-do/coolest-streets-in-the-world
