2013 - 2016 Cadillac XTS How To Program A Remote Key Fob - How To Add Smart Keys

A video tutorial on how to program additional remote key fobs to a 2013 - 2016 Cadillac XTS. A new remote key fob can be programmed to the Cadillac XTS when there is one recognized remote key fob. To program, the vehicle must be off and all key fobs must be with you. 1. Open the center console storage area and the storage tray. 2. Place the recognized remote key fobs in the transmitter pocket. The transmitter pocket is inside the center console storage area between the driver and front passenger seats. 3. Remove the XTS key lock cylinder cap. Insert the vehicle key into the key lock cylinder on the driver door handle. Then turn the key counterclockwise, to the unlock position, five times within 10 seconds. The Driver Information Center (DIC) displays READY FOR REMOTE #2, 3, 4, ETC. 4. Replace the recognized remote key fob with a new key fob - place the new remote fob in the transmitter pocket. 5. Press the ENGINE START/STOP button. When the remote key fob is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next remote. 6. Remove the remote key fob from the transmitter pocket and press unlock or lock on the remote fob. To program additional key fobs, repeat Steps 4–6. When all additional key fobs are programmed, press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for approximately 12 seconds to exit programming mode.
