The Mana Mortii are the elite death squads of Legionary Romania, and they go right back to the very foundation of the Iron Guard. Indeed, the Mana Mortii was born from only the very most loyal men, willing to live and to die for the party and for its founder, Cesar Froza. After conventional political and government forces attempted to kill Froza in a house fire, Froza and his Iron Guard went on the march, tearing the country apart, and ultimately overcoming the forces of the communists, minorities, and the democratic establishment. Once Legionary Romania had been established, and the Iron Guard party enshrined as its ruling body, the Iron Guard themselves, that heavily armed and brutally trained paramilitary unit, was transformed into the Hand of Death, the Death's Hand, the Mana Mortii. As Romania declared war upon the entire world and eventually overcame it, too, the Mana Mortii weren't just the most lethal fighting force on planet earth, but they were also the arbiters of its global genocide. The Mana Mortii manned and ran the death camps, they conducted raids in minority areas, they enforced and even in some cases proposed new racial legislation, and, once the earth was ethnically cleansed, they looked to the stars. The Mana Mortii, over their tenure and continuing on into the age of the stars, already holds a body count of billions. If there's anybody out there, hiding in the recesses of space, then this death toll will surely rise to the trillions at least. Uncompromising, potent, remorseless. There is truth in the blood.
