Jean Arthur and Cary Grant star as Americans, one a tourist and one an ex-pat, who witness the trials and risks of airline pilots delivering goods in hostile conditions. The movie has a smoky, snarky, romantic atmosphere reminiscent of Casablanca, and it was probably an inspiration for a great number of pilot and danger movies, including "Wages of Fear."
