Relaxing crafting 🌼 I'm making a ceramic Flowerbrick 🌼 Otherworldly pottery

As usual I was inspired by the one and only: nature - as well as some Ghibli (specificly Totoro and the forest spirits in Princess Mononoke) - when making my first “flowerbrick” vase. Not really a direct and intentional inspiration, more like a vibe that always exist in the back of my mind. The combination of nature and the otherworldly, in a real life setting. That it's cute also doesn't hurt. Would that be “magical realism”? Here I'm also using my new pottery technique with slip on plaster, to make some very organic textures. You can sit back and get cozy with a cup of tea, just relax while I slowly craft this into existence 😊🌿✨ ___ This video was posted two weeks early to my Patreon members at the "Cabinet of curiosities" tier:   / nymla   Watch a similar video here:    • Full process: Making an otherworldly sculp...   ___ This is stoneware ceramics, fired it in an electric kiln. The little leaf spirit will watch over the flowers and keep them alive. I started making those little figures when I was trying to make some cute tea strainers. The strainers didn't end up so good, but I kept making the little spirits just by themselves. And now they remind me so much of that scene from the movie Totoro – where the kids and the totoros make a little “dance” in the night to make the seeds sprout and grow into a huge tree. I see these as little spirits full of life and full of the powers of nature. They're probably much stronger than you think they are. If you befriend one, or they befriend you secretly, you will notice having so much “luck” with your gardening all of a sudden. Or even, with you indoor plants, or balcony greenery, or in this case even the flowers in your vase or flowerbrick will keep fresh for unusually long.
