The metaphors we use to think about life decisively influence how we live it. In this inspiring talk, Gerry Garbulsky shares what he learned by applying the metaphor of life as a puzzle. This perspective can change our minds about important topics such as the ways in which we stand out or are unique, our capacity for creativity, and ways to innovate in our lives that we may not have considered. Gerry Garbulsky was a stand-up comedian, but he couldn't even make his friends laugh, even though he paid them to do so. He participated in a correspondence chess tournament. The games could last three years, and the letters took 15 days to arrive. He finished in the middle of the rankings, as some participants died before completing their games. Gerry studied physics at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and MIT. He was a business consultant at BCG, founded TED en Español and TEDxRíodelaPlata. In his podcast, Aprender de Grandes (Learning from Greats), he shares knowledge for lifelong learning. He holds a world record and was once mistaken for Diego Maradona.
