Therefore, it's important to remember that dehydrating too much water is dangerous and can lead to numerous cramps from dehydration, as well as the risk of heart spasms. Nothing good can be said about excess water either – it typically increases the risk of stroke and heart attack due to fluid retention, which in turn increases blood pressure. So, if you ask how much water you should drink per day, I'll tell you that for a person weighing 70 kg, the recommended water intake is 2 liters, but every hour of exercise requires an additional 0.5 liters per day.
