Hye Jung Lee performing "Großmächtige Prinzessin" from Richard Strauss' opera Ariadne auf Naxos during the fourth preliminary round of the 2011 Cardiff Singer Of The World competition. The Korean soprano moved on to the final round. Following the competition, she debuted as Papagena (Magic Flute) at Florida Grand Opera and has since been cast around the world, including San Francisco Opera, Oper Kiel, New Zealand Opera and Nationaloper Amsterdam. She debuted as a recitalist in 2009 at Carnegie Hall.
