Both are phenomenal reels and pair perfectly with the Seeker 270H-8. In the end, I chose the Ocea Jigger 2000NRHG for Callan. The longer handle provides more leverage, making it easier to turn the reel under load when fighting bigger fish like yellowtail. That extra cranking power is a huge advantage for younger anglers and anyone who wants a little more mechanical advantage during the fight. Although the Ocea Jigger was designed as a jigging reel, it's incredibly versatile. It excels at vertical jigging but is also more than capable of flylining live bait, fishing sinker rigs, yo-yo irons, and handling many of the techniques you'll use on a San Diego half-day or full-day trip.
