Prosecutors are seeking to convince a state judge this week that they have enough evidence against 23-year-old Tyler Robinson to proceed to a trial. Robinson is charged with aggravated murder in the assassination of Kirk on the Utah Valley University campus last September. Kirk’s parents and widow, Erika Kirk, were in the courtroom for the first time, along with Donald Trump Jr., President Donald Trump’s son. State District Judge Tony Graf explained rules of decorum for members of the courtroom before the prosecution team began presenting evidence. "The court is mindful of the safety and well-being of all parties," said Graf, adding that, "each person who is in attendance will be afforded the dignity and respect due to them, and pursuant to the standing decorum order, all spectators shall be quiet, civil, and orderly. Spectators shall not engage in any distracting, disruptive, provocative, disrespectful, uncivil, or threatening behavior of any kind.” The hearing marks the most significant presentation of evidence in the case so far. After the hearing concludes, Judge Graf must determine if the case should proceed.
