While we were at Chatsworth Park Caravan and Motorhome Club site, September 2024

Solo with Rolo - we went to Chatsworth Park Caravan and Motorhome Club site, Baslow, Bakewell, Derbyshire on 9th September 2024. We travelled from Buxton Caravan and Motorhome Club site, and had to 'kill some time' because the two sites are only approx. 33 minutes drive apart. So we managed to leave Buxton at 12.30pm instead of the usual 12 noon. We also called at Aldi in Bakewell to get some supplies. Chatsworth Park Caravan and Motorhome Club site has dog walks/walks direct from the site. There is a door/gate from the site straight into the grounds of Chatsworth house. You can just wonder around the grounds, which is mainly flat level ground, or you can make your way to the house, which is about a 20 minute walk. Obviously dogs are not allowed into Chatsworth house, but they are allowed into the gift shop, which is located in the 'coach house/stable block'. There are also cafe's with outdoor seating within the 'coach house'. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, both on the Caravan and Motorhome site and also within the grounds of Chatsworth. Within the grounds there are grazing sheep, deer, pheasant, ducks and the occasional horse and rider. There is a small area, on the caravan site, just before the door/gate - where dogs can be exercised off lead.
