Detroit Mayoral Debate | #MPC25

The Detroit Regional Chamber invited five candidates for mayor to the 2025 Mackinac Policy Conference to discuss their vision for business and development in the city. One Detroit contributors Stephen Henderson and Nolan Finley moderated the discussion, which included candidates Fred Durhal III, James Craig Mary Sheffield, Saunteel Jenkins and Solomon Kinloch, Jr. The candidates discussed their vision for business and development in the city, as well as other policy positions that define their vision for Detroit’s future. Candidates not included in the debate are Jonathan Barlow, Joel Haashiim, Todd Perkins, DaNetta Simpson and Rogelio Landin, who is running as a write-in.
