Back to the Dawn - Ways to Die/Escape & All Endings for Thomas' Route

A compilation of the various ways Thomas can get a game over or escape Boulderton Prison along with all the endings. Since playing this in 2023 when Thomas' route originally entered early access four additional escape routes were added and a few extra scenes. This isn't every variation of the Sun route escape as I've heard Selina (Reed's assistant) can be an option under certain circumstances which will fail the main quest but I couldn't confirm that (Thomas rules out Beth so pretty sure she can't be picked to help). As well, technically getting KO'ed by the boxers in the Strength route aren't true game overs but I've included them for completion's sake. Escaping without completing the main quest which puts you on the Shackles of Reality quest and gives you Selina's key gets you the convict ending from escaping too early. You'll get murdered by Angelo's goons if you wait out your prison sentence with Reed being present if you didn't advance the main quest too far (otherwise Thomas is there alone). Reaching the endgame lets you choose to not expose the mayor after beating Angelo for the bad ending and exposing the mayor gets the good ending. Maggie, Beth, or neither will appear in the hospital depending on who you romanced (Maggie appears if you romanced both) but you'll get an extra scene where Maggie and Beth find out about your cheating ways and beat the shit out of Thomas if you pursued both of them. You can complete the finale (and thus all of Thomas' route) without combat by examining the rail camera (move to the far right), fill light (point left), the fill light controls, and the camera feed (change to the third feed for the OB van). Make the two checks to bluff Angelo so that Kong leaves (easier with the OB van on the feed) then hit the fill lights and push the rail camera at Angelo. If you fail to get Kong to leave then you can blind both of them and the rail camera knocks out Kong instead. In either case, the fill lights provide a combat debuff for five rounds for both Kong and Angelo making the fight(s) easier. You can also point the fill lights to the right and blind yourself if you really want to make the fight harder. This is a really well made game and I'm glad to be able to revisit it. If the teased third character gets released I'll absolutely be returning to check it out.
