Think carefully about where you want to take the test – will you be able to successfully take the test at home or is it too much hassle and you may as well sit it in the test centre? And where do you think you’ll do best. Obviously at home it might be less stressful as you’re in a familiar environment but consider whether you might perform better under a bit of pressure in a more formal environment (adrenaline is good sometimes) 2. In the same vein, if you’re taking the test at home, consider where you do your practice. Separating your work from the rest of your life is important at home as it is so do take that into consideration, but above that – whereabouts do you want to actually take your test? You need to pick a quiet space with no distractions. Then decide – will you do better taking the test where you’ve been practicing for the familiarity of it, or would you prefer taking the test in a different area to focus and get in the zone, making it feel different to just another practice 3. Figure out a system for note-taking.
