The Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, attended a gala event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. It was held at the Dagun Omayev Palace of Ceremonies. Ramzan Kadyrov congratulated the employees of the regional department on their professional holiday. Addressing the gathering, he recalled the most difficult years for the Chechen people, when traffic police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic had to confront not only traffic violators but also actual criminals. Each inspector faithfully followed the path of the First President of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, fulfilling their professional duty. "We respect and value the work of every traffic police officer. We are also proud of the contribution to road safety made by the personnel of the Department under the leadership of Idris Cherkhigov, Head of the Department of the State Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic. Thanks to the high professionalism of these employees, over the past five years, the number of accidents and injuries in the Chechen Republic has been reduced by 40%, and fatalities by 50%. The regional Department is among the top five in the country for key accident rates," noted the Head of the Chechen Republic. During the event, Ramzan Kadyrov held an awards ceremony for the most distinguished employees of the Department of the State Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic. The highest award of the Chechen Republic, the Order of Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, was awarded to Beslan Surkhayev, Khavazh-Baudin Yangulbayev, Rasul Tokuyev, and Baysangur Eldarkhanov. He awarded the title of "Nokhchiyn pachkhyalkhan k'onakh" to four employees: Tamerlan Umatgiriev, Ramzan Tokayev, Rasul Askhabov, and Ramzan Tokuyev. Albek Dulayev and Shamsudi Magomadov received the "For Services to the Chechen Republic" medals. He presented the "Defender of the Chechen Republic" medals to Murat Akhmadov and Magomed Akhmadov. He presented the Honorary Certificate of the Head of the Chechen Republic to Khasmagomed Vagapov, and the Letter of Gratitude from the Head of the Chechen Republic to Mayrbek Israpilov. "I was also pleased to receive the commemorative anniversary medal '90 Years of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.' Adam Kadyrov, Assistant to the Head of the Chechen Republic and Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic, was also awarded the same medal," the regional governor said.
