Welcome to The Faith We Inherited, the final section of the series that returns to the theological roots of Chilean Pentecostalism. We continue our exploration of the 39 Anglican Articles of Faith, from which almost all of the Wesleyan Methodist Articles of Faith are derived. These, in turn, were fully adopted by Chilean Pentecostalism in its early days. The Anglican Articles of Faith were originally drafted by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer in 1553 and later revised by the Canterbury Assembly in 1571, where the 39 Articles of Faith were finally established. Of these articles, 24 were proposed by John Wesley to the American Methodists in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1784, who later added one more, bringing the total to 25. The tenth of the Anglican articles is preserved as the eighth of the Methodist articles and was transferred in its entirety to Chilean Pentecostal Methodism. --------- Bibliography: 1. Therefore, we have no power to do good works pleasing and acceptable to God, unless the Grace of God through Christ precedes us so that we may have good will and work in us when we have that good will.” --------- 00:00 Introduction 01:32 Article 10: On Free Will --------- Music: Serge Quadrado - Wet Weather Illustration: Dámaris Donoso Díaz Editing and assembly: Betzabé Falcón --------- #pentecostalism #methodism #freewill
