Noise Performance Comparison Of Different Linear Regulators LM7805 LM317 TLV1117 LP2985 Altium PCB
Designed a custom circuit board using Altium Designer that supports 7 different linear regulators with common input and output. Supporting input and output capacitors are the same and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layout is similar as well. In this video simple AC noise is measured using an Audio Precision P1+. Regulators installed: TLV1117 LP2985 LM317 ADR4525 LT3065 (not working) 78M05 7805 Further tests are planned such ripple rejection and transient response.
