From DRC to Kentucky: Kristin Davis tells Catherine’s resettlement story
Kristin Davis first met Congolese refugee Catherine and her baby Makena in Gihembe refugee camp in Rwanda. Catherine had been living in the camp for 20 years and was desperate to join her family, who had already been resettled to the United States. Kristin was reunited with Catherine a few months later in Lexington, Kentucky, following her resettlement from Rwanda.
