Emulator used: Mesen RTA 0.0.7 Reset at 0:12, Run begins at 0:44 After completing every quest in the game for RetroAchievements, I decided I knew way too much about this game now. With all that useless information I wanted to revisit the speedrun routing. I was looking for areas I could possibly cut out, or replace with other quests (Kuto's Well and Mendor's Library are relatively quick and close to Slums). After a lot of consideration, this route is already pretty optimal. The Slums is easy for leveling initially, plus Ohlo's necklace carries you through most of the game. If you skip Sokal Keep you can't take a boat to Bane Temple, whose loot is required for the speedrun. Good luck fighting Tyranthraxis' level 8 fighters without invisibility dust. With that said I only cut out two treasures in the Slums routing. It easily saves 30+ seconds (and less steps = less RNG) but sometimes Gwydion doesn't reach level 4 due to the missing exp. Beating the game with level 3 Gwydion is possible, but he seems to get paralyzed by Tyranthraxis fairly often when the battle starts up, killing the run.
