Spring has us fired up and tackling another project around the homestead… this time building a permanent highline for our horses, mules, and mustangs. If you’ve never seen one before, a highline is one of the safest and most useful tools for teaching horses to stand tied, building patience, improving ground manners, and preparing them for life on the trail or in camp. In this video we walk you through how we built our horse highline setup from start to finish and explain why we believe this is one of the most underrated horse training tools out there. Whether you own horses, mules, or mustangs, teaching them to stand tied safely and confidently is a foundational part of training—and this setup helps do exactly that while reducing many of the risks that come with traditional tie methods.
