Pete Forbes - Unadorned - Shed Sessions PEI
Pete Forbes got his start writing, recording and touring with east coast stalwarts The Rude Mechanicals. Subsequently, Pete stepped into the role of singer/songwriter with his Toronto based band The Northwest Division. After a critically successful EP he returned home to PEI, where he put out a solo EP and various one-off singles. His latest, highly-anticipated new singles offer a soundtrack for destruction and renewal. A double A-side released in 2021, featuring a quieter folk noir song called 'Unadorned', and a louder version of George Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass'. A vinyl 7" was pressed locally by Kaneshii Vinyl. To craft this follow-up to the early-Flaming Lips-era alternative melodic stunners of 'Love Is All Around' EP, Forbes worked with an indomitable lineup of Nathan Wiley, Blu Gillis, Dale DesRoches and Emma Werner.
