Reliability in the West Discussion Series: Inverter-based Resources Entity Registration
The discussion included an update on IBR status and the reliability impacts associated with new Category 2 GO and GOP registrations in the Western Interconnection. Additionally, the webinar covered new and updated NERC Reliability Standards, a review of past IBR events—including the Iberian Peninsula event, the Blue Cut Fire, and Odessa events in Texas, and discussed lessons learned from these events. The conversation highlighted the importance of data quality and consistency, as well as the introduction of the new EMT.
