Gerson Borini: A Mechanical Engineer, his life is connected to automobiles. Since the age of 10, he accompanied his uncle and grandfather to the mechanic's shop and enjoyed the quality evaluation cars from Vemag and VW that his father brought home. At 20, he entered the automotive industry, working at Mercedes-Benz (2 years), BorgWarner (3 years), and GM (30 years). From 1989 to 1995, he raced in the Super Stock category (Opala 6-cylinder). In 2004, he formed the Chevrolet Endurance Team to compete in the Brazilian Endurance Championship (2004 to 2012), where he won several individual and team titles. At GM, he worked in Development and Validation Engineering at the Proving Ground and managed several technical areas in Brazil, the United States, and Latin America.
