During my visit, I tried Areeka, one of the healthiest and most traditional Arabic dishes, made with dates, whole wheat, ghee, and honey 🍯. This food is deeply rooted in the culture of the Asir region and is especially popular in Abha’s cool weather. I also visited Shamsan Castle, an Ottoman-era castle in Abha, offering panoramic views of the city and a glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s historical past.
