I enter Aldea Carmen, one of the largest and most marginalized neighborhoods in San Pedro Sula. Families take me to see every street, soccer field, business, restaurant, social project, and more. I try fruits, churros, Chinese rice, fried chicken, and more. I meet entrepreneurs who struggle every day to support their families, including a lady who sells pig liver stew using the recipe of her mother who passed away. The locals invite me to have coffee, play soccer, try organic spinach, and get to know the school. I pass through the street where the current mayor of San Pedro Sula, Roberto Contreras, grew up.
