Summer STOKE'S ASTER Deadheading & Blooming Cycle 🌼💀✂️ Growing Home Gardening #deadhead #stokesaster

In this episode of the Growing Home gardening show, I talk about Stoke's Aster, which is a relatively easy perennial plant to grow and care for, and according to Valen, there should be more of it in everyone's flowerbeds! It often has purple or blue, thistle or corn flower like flowers. Once these flowers begin to fade and go to seed, you can cut them off just above where the meet a leaf at the bottom of their stems. This will encourage your Stoke's Aster to flower more with stronger blooms because this will encourage your plant to put energy into putting out more of the portion of the reproductive process of the plant that we love so much - flowers - as opposed to sending it toward development of its seeds. #growinghome #gardeningtips This is a mix of a couple previous Stoke's Aster videos I posted previously for the more streamlined tutorial video.
