It's a part of the trilogy Sjúrðarkvæðini also known as the Nibelungen Lied as it is based on the same material as Wagner uses for his opera cycle. The three ballads has a total of 642 vers! The second tune is a waltz written by Norwegian fiddler Germund Haugen around 100 years ago.
