Known for its iconic “Bee Girl” music video, directed by Samuel Bayer, the song helped propel the band to multi-platinum status. The track reached #20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Album Rock Tracks and Modern Rock Tracks charts. Internationally, it peaked at #1 in Canada and #8 in Australia. Bassist Brad Smith wrote most of the song, inspired by his girlfriend’s struggles with depression, but also reflecting his own feelings. Its jangly guitar riff and Shannon Hoon’s falsetto vocals create a light, uplifting feel despite the song’s deeper lyrical themes. The music video features Heather DeLoach as the “Bee Girl,” a lonely tap dancer who eventually finds joy with other dancers dressed like her. The video’s popularity earned DeLoach appearances at the 1993 MTV VMAs and a parody by “Weird Al” Yankovic. Pitchfork praised it as “a playfully jingle-jangle riff that feels strummed from a hammock, with a sweet and mournful lyric about watching the world go by that doesn’t sound depressed.” ——————————————————————————————————————————— 🎶 Lyrics Full lyrics are available in the pinned comment below 👇 ——————————————————————————————————————————— 💬 Join the Conversation Which part of “No Rain” do you love strumming the most? 💡 Have you tried playing along with the iconic intro riff? 🎸 Share your favorite Blind Melon moment or cover tips below! ——————————————————————————————————————————— 🔥 Hashtags #blindmelon #norain #guitarplayalong #chordchart #guitarchords #guitartabs #guitarlesson #guitartutorial #classicrock #altrock #90smusic #planetguitar #BeginnerGuitar #NoCapo #GuitarChords #GuitarTabs #GuitarCover #GuitarWithLyrics #AcousticGuitar #EasyGuitar #GuitarPractice #PlayGuitar #PlanetGuitar #LearnGuitar #GuitarSongs #PlayAlongGuitar #GuitarTutorial #StrummingPattern #OnScreenChords #TABPlayAlong #GuitarVideo #StrummingPlayAlong #90sRockGuitar #BlindMelonCover
