"Is Purpose Good for Your Health? A Look at Emerging Evidence" Carol Ryff is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Dr. Ryff is well-known for identifying six dimensions of psychological well-being: autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose in life, and self-acceptance. She also conducts research on positive health and the connections between psychological well-being and biology. Additionally, she investigates resilience in terms of the recovery of health and well-being in the face of adversity. She was recorded at the PRYDE "Purpose and Health across the Life Span" conference in October 2016.
