Driver - PS1 Full Playthrough No Commentary - Part 004

Hey everyone. Here is part 4, the final part of my playthrough of Driver for the PS1. I used to love this game and replaying it, I think I hate it. The game is filled with spite for the player, with the later levels becoming nothing more than a chore with cop spawns and their zealous desire to wreck you. I have no idea how I completed this without cheating when I was younger, something I gave up on for this series. The driving game modes however can be fun, particularly Survival, though I’ve not recorded footage of anything except the training and story modes. This is running on an original PS1 that has been modified with the Xstation ODE replacement, a Retro Gaming Cables RGB SCART cable via the Retrotink 4k into an Elgato 4k Pro capture card. Using existing community profiles as a guide and information from the Retrotink 4k wiki, I've created a display profile that reminds me of one of my old CRTs. This profile is specific for PAL games due to their differences in resolution and refresh rate. Save games are on a MemCard Pro 2. You’ll see fairly quickly into this video that I give up trying to complete the game legitimately and decide to cheat. What I haven’t included are the other near 8 hours of attempts at The Rescue. For reference, the Invincibility cheat is this, performed on the Main Menu: L2, L2, R2, R2, L2, R2, L2, L1, R2, R1, L2, L1, L1 --Chapters-- 00:00:00 – Main Menu, loading save game, skipping FMVs 00:00:59 – The Rescue 00:08:20 – Patience lost, back to the menu 00:08:47 – Main Menu, entering Invincibility cheat, skipping FMVs 00:10:25 – The Rescue 00:23:34 – FMV.
