WHAT IS THIS STORY ABOUT? The Ant and the Grasshopper: Jane Edmonds retells the salutary story of the lazy grasshopper and the industrious ant. Music composed by Harold Smart and David Lindup. Illustrated by Malcolm Livingstone and narrated by Marise Hepworth. WHAT IS STORY TELLER? Story Teller was a series of magazines published by Marshall Cavendish from December 1982 and throughout 1983 as a fortnightly part-work. Each magazine contained a selection of children's stories from traditional folk tales to contemporary works written especially for the series. It also included poems. The stories were accompanied by lavish colour artwork and an audio cassette tape featuring music, sound effects and narration by professional actors and celebrities of the time, including Richard Briers, Sheila Hancock, Derek Jacobi, and Nigel Lambert.
