2020 Hyundai Tucson | Thermostat Housing & Transmission Cooler Pipe Replacement

Today we worked on a 2020 Hyundai Tucson AWD 2.4L that came in with signs of coolant leakage and transmission fluid seepage. After a detailed inspection, we found two main issues: 1️⃣ The thermostat housing (part no. 25600-2GGB5) had developed a small crack, causing coolant to leak near the engine bay. 2️⃣ The transmission oil cooler pipe (part no. 45264-3B830) showed corrosion at the connection point, resulting in minor fluid seepage. Both parts are crucial for keeping the engine and transmission temperatures regulated. If ignored, coolant or ATF leaks can lead to overheating, poor performance, or even internal damage. ⸻ 🛠️ Work Performed: • Drained the coolant and inspected all related hoses • Replaced the thermostat housing with a new OEM unit • Replaced the transmission oil cooler pipe • Cleaned the sealing surfaces and added fresh coolant and transmission fluid • Pressure-tested the cooling and transmission systems for leaks • Completed a road test ✅ ⸻ ✅ Result: The vehicle now runs at the proper operating temperature, no more leaks, and transmission shifting feels smooth again.
