Long Distance Calling - Nighthawk (HD)

LONGDISTANCECALLING, http://www.longdistancecalling.de/ is a post rock band from Germany formed in 2006 by David Jordan (guitar), Janosch Rathmer (drums), Florian Füntmann (guitar), Jan Hoffmann (bass) and Reimut van Bonn (ambience) with the belief that music has no "room for rules". There music can be described as somewhat adventurous post-rock that often drifts into post-metal territory. NIGHTHAWK is a 8 song EP recorded from live jams in the studio. Kind of a "back to the roots" thing for the band. No arrangements and overdubs. The EP was fundraised by the fans and produced by the band's own label. I give no tracklist because titles are f.ex. NH-0223. NH for Nighthawk and the numbers for the lenght of the piece. There was silence between the pieces. I didn't like that and removed it. It's instrumental, straight, great. In my opinion somebody in there's got the (say Thee) touch! for the sound. Like with Yello, Pink Floyd, the Bersarin Quartett and some other gifted sound perfectionist. While their studio albums are better prove to this praising the EP maybe makes it easier to detect the suspect.
