At the age of 9, she admitted her femininity to herself. In her early age she sneaked into her mom’s bathroom and applied her makeup. Her struggles with gender identity receded from that point, and her childhood became more and more complex as she pretended to be. But now she has a platform to speak openly and publicly about her gender identity, helping her to take pride in her journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
