Ron Brown's fantastic Blues Bass Lines

In dem Tutorial erkläre ich den Anfang von Ron Brown's Basslinie aus dem Song "Paris Blues". Hier spiele ich die Basslinie im Kontext:    • Ron Brown and the perfect Blues Basslines   Der Song stammt von dem grandiosen Blues Album mit dem Titel: Super Black Blues . Das Album ist im Grunde eine wahrscheinlich mehr oder weniger spontane Blues Session, aufgenommen am 17.10.1969 wohl in L.A.Neben Ron Brown finden sich sehr illustre Mitmusiker auf dem Album: T-Bone Walker, Otis Spann, Big Joe Turner, Ernie Watts und noch einige andere.    • Super Black Blues   Die Basslinien von Ron Brown, wahrscheinlich auf einem Fender Bass gespielt, sind grossartig! Tief in der Blues Tradition verwurzelt und obendrauf noch ein guter Schuss Soul. Der Einfluss von James Jamerson ist sehr deutlich! Über Ron Brown ist so gut wie nichts rauszukriegen: Sein Name taucht auf in dem James Jamerson Transkriptions Buch "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" . In diesem Buch ist eine technische Übung abgedruckt, die Ron Brown wohl von Jamerson bekommen hat, während er für kurze Zeit bei ihm Unterricht hatte. Sonst ist, ausser dem vorgestellten Album, fast nichts über Ron Brown rauszukriegen. Schade, denn wie bereits gesagt, die Basslinien sind fantastisch und bei dieser Session ist der Bass auch sehr gut im Mix hörbar. In this tutorial, I explain the beginning of Ron Brown's bassline from the song “Paris Blues.” Here I play the bassline in a context:    • Ron Brown and the perfect Blues Basslines   The song is on a fantastic blues album titled Super Black Blues. The album is essentially a more or less spontaneous blues session, recorded on October 17, 1969, presumably in L.A.    • Super Black Blues   Alongside Ron Brown, the album features some very illustrious fellow musicians: T-Bone Walker, Otis Spann, Big Joe Turner, Ernie Watts, and a few others. Ron Brown’s bass lines, likely played on a Fender bass, are fantastic! Deeply rooted in the blues tradition, with a good dash of soul on top. The influence of James Jamerson is very clear! There is virtually nothing to be found out about Ron Brown: His name appears in James Jamerson’s transcription book Standing in the Shadows of Motown. This book includes a technical exercise that Ron Brown likely received from Jamerson while he was briefly taking lessons from him. Other than the album featured here, there’s almost nothing else to be found about Ron Brown. It’s a shame, because as I mentioned, the bass lines are fantastic, and on this session, the bass is also very clearly audible in the mix.
