KuKim @ 811, State College, PA 10/12/94 Song titles unknown Jay Demko - guitar & vocals Ben Doyle - bass & vocals Chris Turco - guitar & vocals Justin Wierbonski - drums Recorded live in the basement of 811 W. College Ave. on the outskirts of downtown State College, PA. This show find's Star City, West Virginia's KuKim at their tightest (but always just a foot away from chaos), at the end of a short midwest tour with Delta 72. This was KuKim's second show in State College and second time at 811, as it was known in the valley. 811 was home to bands and artists in the years prior but at this time was the basement practice space for local heroes Samuel while the just one-year-old record label Art Monk Construction rented out a bedroom for office space on the first floor. In between songs you'll hear ex-Junction member Gregg Foreman (of Delta 72) sending bleeps, blurps and bloops through a speaker in the room. Not long after this tour, KuKim dissolved with only a handful of bootleg recordings and one Morgantown radio show to cement it's songwriting swag. There was talk of a split 7" with Samuel on Art Monk Construction, as reported in the Penn State Daily Collegian the week of this show but (sadly) no other studio recordings exist of KuKim.
