"You're Recording People Inside Of Our Store"

Today's installment brings Sidewalks22 News Network & I to the public sidewalks outside this higher end grocery store, as we captured life in the moment with our cameras. Our main point of contact came from one of the management team. It was after we were recording the sandwiches on the counter to be prepared. We could easily see into the deli area since there were 7 or 8 large floor to ceiling windows. Once an employee noticed us, they began lowering the shades. They created their privacy , so I can't fault them for doing so. It was when we were coming back towards the front entrance that the manager met us on the sidewalk. He can out claiming we were recording people inside the store. Of course, people will inevitably be recorded in the entire shot. I didn't appreciate it when he came across as dictating where we could point our cameras on the public sidewalk. I stood within view of the front entrance & told him to go back inside & get his butt back to work. I told him you work for Erewhon, not the public sidewalk. As he walked away, he mentioned he was going to call for police or security. Some time had passed & we didn't see the manager again. Soon after property security came walking by & did not stop to talk to us, he kept walking by. Police never showed up while we were recording in the area. Thank you to Sidewalks22 News Network for joining me for this collaboration.
