Oldest Cemetery in Monmouth County
Located right behind the Town Hall of Middletown, NJ, is the Throckmorton-Lippott-Taylor Burying Ground established in about 1684 which makes it the oldest cemetery in the area and one that many people don't even know about. In fact, the entire area surrounding the Middletown Town Hall contains some of the oldest cemeteries and churches in the country.
