Jannik Sinner speaking mother tongue rare, South Tyrolean Dialect, Südtirolerisch, Deutsch, Italian
Jannik Sinner is Italian, but from South Tyrol (Südtirol) a Region bordering Switzerland and Austria. He grew up speaking a Dialect and learning both Standard German and Italian in school. He moved further south very young so he is fluent in Italian. He also is fluent in Standard German, but it is very different to hid mother tongue and he uses it very rarely, so German Interviews are a bit a struggle for him. This video is from his celebration for first world Number 1 in Sexten, Südtirol, Italy.
