This visit was quite different than what I was expecting. Beware of people who make promises about future returns but who aren't willing to pay you for your time. Rene was in a bit of a pickle and put her trust in someone who didn't deserve it. Some people come to Panama claiming they are there to help people and help communities, but really, they are here for their own ego and greed. They do things to make themselves look good, while buying up real estate and "incentivizing" locals with their money. I know I'm being a bit vague with this information - but in the future, as things pan out, I will likely share more and encourage Rene to share her story.
