In this video, I explain what's really happening, what the risks are, and why it's wise to proceed with caution. Transitional Provision 34 (DT34) of the General Social Security Law regulates the transitional regime of more favorable penalties applicable to those entitled to the maximum pension who opt for early retirement. Paragraph 2 of this transitional provision ceased to apply on January 1, 2026, and it is now in question whether it will be reinstated. Paragraph 3 remains in force and has not been repealed or ceased to apply at any time. This paragraph regulates exceptions for those who have not worked since January 1, 2022.
