The Legend of Tembo - Battle on the Ice - Storyboard Animatic

The Legend of Tembo was to be a CG animated feature directed by Aaron Blaise about an African elephant that is taken by traders to India to be used as a weapon of war. The film was cancelled after it ran into financial trouble mid-way in its production. This a storyboard from the film - The two opposing armies meet high in the frozen mountains of India. The enemy's lead battle elephant is in mid fight with Tembo who has been forced to fight by his war-crazed elephant commander, Sarge. As the meleé continues on the frozen lake tembo realises he is fighting his own brother from Africa who he thought died many years earlier.
