There’s on ongoing debate on heat and lighting in the ball python world—but honestly, the data just isn’t strong enough to say one method is superior to another. In this video, I dive into the actual studies we do have on ball python heating and lighting. Some suggest possible behavioral benefits from UVB or halogen use—but there’s no conclusive proof that those are essential. What is essential? ✅ A proper thermal gradient ✅ Stable humidity ✅ Hides, nutrition, and low-stress housing I’m not here to shame anyone using halogen, RHPs, UVB, or anything else that works. I’m here to push back against the gatekeeping and misinformation being spread online—and remind everyone that science is ongoing, not settled.
