Update: Cloud-based Documents Sharing for Court Hearings Introduced in Ontario
The Ontario Ministry of Attorney General has recently acquired a cloud-based documents sharing platform, which allows the parties to upload and share documents prior to a hearing. This is a major advancement in Ontario court's electronic systems [although the same technology has been used by the UK judicial system for the last 10 years]. This is not an electronic filing system. The Ministry of Attorney General had also introduced an electronic filing platform earlier this month [August 2020]. This was covered in our previous lecture.
