In the early 2000's, the V1 was the only radar unit with directional arrows, showing where the signal was coming from. The patent on that tech expired a few years ago, and every other detector company quickly added arrows to their units, removing Valentine's primary competitive advantage. Now, 25 years after the release of the original Valentine One, we have a new one: The Gen2. With improved sensitivity, new processing power to detect weaker signals, and the same programmability and language we loved from the original, it should be promising.
