Why I left the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a new grad registered nurse. Many of you who follow me on my Instagram may remember that I shared on my stories a couple of months ago about leaving the NICU which resulted in an influx of DMs asking me about it. I decided to create a Q&A at the time to answer some of the most common questions. However, leaving the NICU was a very difficult decision for me to make and I was having a hard time sharing this vulnerable part of my life with the public. I was navigating feelings of “failure” as a nurse and questioning if I was cut out to be a nurse to begin with. Since then, I have fortunately been able to move forward, and I am now in a much better place that fits my needs. I finally felt ready to share about this with you and I have answered some of the most common questions that I had saved from the Q&A.
