The Castellows - Dancing In The Dark (Bruce Springsteen cover)

The most popular video on this fan channel is ‪@thecastellows‬ covering Bruce Springsteen at the Revelree Music Festival in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada - what made that great? Well, "Balkcom Banter" before the song adds to it. Check that out:    • The Castellows Dancing In The Dark  (Bruce...   The Balkcom sisters Ellie, Lily and Powell have covered ‪@brucespringsteen‬ in their acoustic sets before, playing I'm On Fire a couple years ago like here in Ann Arbor    • The Castellows - I'm on Fire (Bruce Spring...   but I have not heard a full band arrangement of Bruce Springsteen cover before this :) What is cool? Ellie crushing the synth - just like she has been crushing the keys since last fall's Homecoming Tour. Obviously the ladies are big fans .. I think there was an Instagram pic with the Born In The USA cover as Lily's laptop wallpaper image (?). Another Bruce Springsteen connection? Well, before the College Station show last year in Texas we visited the George Bush Library at Texas A&M. They have a small but impressive music wing with some cool items on display like SRV's No.1 stratocaster and Bruce's 4-Track usedto record Nebraska and his jeans, red cap and white T-shirt from the Born In The USA Cover !!!! Ahh, finally Rob the connection to this song :) More to love? Lily rocking out at the end of the song. She is a great frontwoman IMHO, a real firecracker spinning, jumping and "enthusing vocally" here. I'd say Lily Balkcom gives a young Courtney Cox a run for her money dancing to this gem, right? Thanks for Music on the Mountain for hosting my favourite band. Thanks ladies for signing my hat and Free Rein coffee after the show too :) You are always so generous with your time at the merch table meet and greets! Enjoy :) PS - the Springsteen and Dixie Chicks covers get the most comments about political views with many commentors not supporting covers of Bruce or The Chicks but I'd say just enjoy the music. I was in high school when Born In The USA came out and we were not polarized over any politics. Lily sings in Freeway "I miss those glory days, cause I was born forty years too late" - let's go back to those glory days and enjoy this super cover :)
