Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra is one of the Panch Kailash with total distance of 64 km, this yatra starts from Jao village in Rampur Bushar which is the starting point of this Yatra. Shrikhand Mahadev has its religious beliefs of Mahadev hiding in himalayas due to his own devotee that was trying to kill him after seeking powers from Mahadev. This yatra is a true blend of nature, consisting of waterfalls, rivers, lakes, meadows and ,flowers. During this trek there are good number of stops and campsites where you can rest and halt for a day during trek, becuase the route to Shrikhand mahadev is not easy. Government of Himachal Pradesh and local people have organised free langars for pilgrims during the trek which serves food to all if you are low on budget those langers are the best place to seek sghelter and food. People often take 2-3 days to complete this trek due to its difficulty level and weather, so be very cautious before you go on Shrikhand Mahadev yatra. Himachal Government has done all the necessary medical facilities during this trek like, medicines, stretchers, oxygen cylinders and other.
